Change Your Goodwill Password
There are a few different ways to change your password, based on how you are accessing Goodwill online services.
Goodwill IT requires that you change your password every 90 days. 15 days before your password is due to expire, you will start to receive reminder emails from the IT Helpdesk reminding you to change your password. Please make sure to change your password early, as if your password expires you will not be able to access Goodwill online services and your password will have to be reset manually by the IT Helpdesk.
Please select the situation that is most relevant to you:
- Changing your password while using a Goodwill computer while connected to the Goodwill network in a office, store, or DC
- Changing your password while using a Goodwill computer while working remotely
- Changing your password not from a Goodwill computer
Password Change with a Goodwill Computer on a Goodwill Network
- Make sure your computer is connected to the network. You can check this by making sure the icon in the corner looks like the below or if you are on wifi, make sure the network is GIA-WIFI.

- Press Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard
- Select "Change a password" from the options presented
- Enter the required fields to change your password.
Your new password is automatically synced to all Goodwill online services.
Password Change with a Goodwill Computer working Remotely
Important Note: When changing your password while working remotely, it is important you follow ALL the steps listed below. When changing your password remotely, if the password on your computer gets out of sync between your computer and our servers, you will need to visit Goodwill IT in person with your device to correct it.

Make sure you are connected to the Goodwill VPN. To confirm, find the VPN icon in your taskbar by clicking the arrow. The icon should be green. If not, right click the icon and select "Connect".

Press Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard

Select "Change a password" from the options presented

Enter the required fields to change your password.

Once you finalize changing your password, you should be back on your desktop. You then need to complete the following: (double check your VPN is still active)

Press Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard.

Select "Lock" from the options
- You should be brought back to your login screen. Log back into the computer using your username and the NEW password you just setup.
Your new password is automatically synced to all Goodwill online services.
Password Change not from a Goodwill Computer
Note: It is not recommended you change your password this way if you have an assigned Goodwill Laptop.
- Go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com
- Select "Change Password" from the Password tile.
- Change your password following the prompts.
